# Time Entries

A time entry is the hours a team member records for an activity on one date.

Each request changes only the time entries you name. There is no endpoint that saves a whole timesheet week. To save an edited week, create the new time entries, update the changed ones, and delete the removed ones.

A time entry's submissionStatus starts at 'draft' and moves to 'pending' when you submit it, then to 'approved' or 'rejected'. An approved time entry becomes 'submittedForInvoicing' and then 'invoiced' as it is billed. No endpoint sets submissionStatus directly.
