# Warehouses

A warehouse is a stocking location where a legal entity keeps inventory.

Stock records, bins, inventory transactions, inventory counts, and allocations each belong to a warehouse. A warehouse's locationCode is unique within the tenant.

To retire a warehouse, set isActive to false. Inventory transactions and other records that refer to a retired warehouse are kept.
