Warehouse Transfers

A warehouse transfer is a document that moves stock from one warehouse to another, within one legal entity or between two.
A transfer starts as a draft, which moves nothing and can be changed or deleted. Committing the transfer moves the goods from the source warehouse to the target warehouse and creates a journal entry. A committed transfer can't be changed or deleted, and there is no endpoint to cancel one.
An intercompany transfer, with transferType 'INTERCOMPANY', sells the goods from one legal entity to another. The intercompany bill is created separately, after the commit, and billing can't be undone. billingStatus shows whether a transfer has been billed.
On each line, a batch-tracked item needs batches that add up to the line's quantity, and a serialized item needs one serial number per unit. Each bin location on a line names both the source bin and the target bin, and the batch or serial number the bin location belongs to, when there is one.
