# Warehouse Transfer Orders

A warehouse transfer order is a request to move a quantity of items from one warehouse to another.

A transfer order moves nothing itself. Converting the order creates a draft warehouse transfer, and the stock moves when that transfer is committed. On this resource, commit means converting the order.

An order's status comes from its lines, and no endpoint sets it directly. 'DRAFT' is a new order, 'IN_TRANSFER' has an uncommitted transfer, 'PARTIALLY_PROCESSED' still has open quantity after a transfer, and 'PROCESSED' has nothing open. Canceling a transfer in Lensing returns its quantity to the order and reopens the order. This API has no endpoint to cancel a transfer.

An order has quantities but no amounts. The warehouse transfer values the stock.
