# Item Types

An item type classifies items and decides whether items of that type may be kept in stock.

stockable decides whether items of the type may be kept in stock. Under a non-stockable type, an item must have isInventory set to false. procurable records whether items of the type are meant to be bought, and purchase documents don't check it. Every item has one item type and can't change it.

There is no endpoint to create, change, or delete an item type.
