Inventory Levels

An inventory level is the stock of one item at one location. It shows the quantities in stock, available, reserved, and in transit, and their value.

Stock movements such as receipts, shipments, counts, and adjustments update each inventory level, and allocations and reservations update its allocated and reserved quantities. There is no endpoint to create, change, or delete a level. To change the stock in a level, commit the document that moves the stock.

A level can exist before any stock has moved, for example when replenishment settings are saved for the item at that location. No level means nothing has been recorded for that item at that location.
