# Fiscal Calendars

Fiscal calendars define how a year is divided into accounting periods.

A fiscal calendar sets whether the year is divided into months or quarters, and when the year starts.

Each period of a calendar, for each legal entity and accounting book, is an accounting period. To list them, use GET accounting/accounting-periods?filter[fiscalCalendarId][eq]=<id>.

No endpoint finds a calendar by name. List the calendars and match the name in your own code.
