An amortization schedule line is one period's amount of an amortization schedule.

The amortization schedule has the method, the term, and the source document. There is no endpoint to change a line. An installment's journal entry is posted to the general ledger through the amortization schedule.

outstanding is true when an installment's journal entry hasn't been posted and the installment isn't confirmed as zero. Filter on outstanding rather than working it out from isJournalEntryPosted and isConfirmedZero. isConfirmedZero can be unset, and if you treat unset as false you miss outstanding lines.

To find out whether amortization blocks a period close, filter by legal entity, accounting book, and the period end date, not by the period id. An installment scheduled in an earlier period whose journal entry was never posted also blocks the close, and a scheduledPeriodId filter misses it.

A line has no legal entity of its own. Its entityId comes from the source journal entry line of the schedule, so a line whose schedule or source document was deleted has no entityId. Those lines are still returned but don't match an entity filter, so check for lines with no entityId when you reconcile to zero.
