Accounting Periods

An accounting period is one period of a fiscal calendar for one legal entity and accounting book, with its own status.
The same period can be open for one legal entity and closed for another, because each legal entity and accounting book has its own status for it.
postable says whether journal entries can be posted to the general ledger in the period. It is true when the status is open or reopened. It doesn't reflect locks that apply only to some types of journal entry.
To change a period's status, use POST accounting/period-status/:id/execute-task.
