Event accounting/journalEntries/deleted, delivered as a POST to the webhook endpoint of a subscription to it.
Delivered once the entry has been removed. The identifier is resolved before the row disappears and published after it is gone, so nothing is announced that the delete then failed to do — but by the time this arrives the entry can no longer be read. Use it to drop the entry from a cache, an index or a downstream mirror.
This is the rare one. Posted entries are normally cancelled by voiding or reversing, not deleting, and deletion is refused for an approved entry, for a closed posting period, and where amortization schedules have already started. In practice it happens for unapproved manual entries and as a cascade when the source document is deleted.
Entries discarded while still drafts publish nothing, the same as they published nothing when created.
If you need to know what was deleted rather than only that it was, keep the last-known copy from the created and updated events, this delivery carries the identifier alone.
