# Retrieve a sales return

Operation ID: `getSalesReturn`

Group: Inventory › Sales Returns

[Open in the interactive reference](https://docs.api.lensing.ai/lensing/v1/endpoints/getSalesReturn)

`GET /inventory/sales-returns/{id}`

Read-only: Reads and returns; changes nothing.

Retrieves a sales return. Use the sales return's id, not its documentNumber.

The return comes back with all of its lines, including their batches, serials, bins, and inspection details. POST inventory/sales-returns/search returns the same fields, and GET inventory/sales-returns returns each return without its lines.

A return in 'DRAFT' status can be updated, committed, or deleted. After the commit, its status is 'RECEIVED'.
