Group: Accounting › Invoices · Operation ID: accounting_invoices_created

An invoice was issued. Carries the invoice id only; read the invoice for everything else.

Delivered once the invoice, its lines, its journal entry and any customer credit applied automatically have all settled, so the invoice is complete and readable when this arrives.

It fires however the invoice came about: a scheduled, manual or ad-hoc billing run, a create through the API, milestone invoicing, a credit-and-rebill, a subscription cancellation, or a load from an external system. A billing run issues many invoices and publishes one event for each, so expect bursts.

Invoices brought in by a one-time historical migration do not publish this event. They record invoices that were issued, sent and usually settled long ago in another system, so treating them as newly issued would trigger work that has already happened. Load that history from the invoicing read API instead.

If your own integration wrote the invoice, you will receive an event for it. Filter those out using the invoice's data source or its external identifier.

A delivery may be retried, so deduplicate on event.uuid, the id of the emission itself. Do not confuse it with event.data.id, which is the invoice: one invoice produces many emissions over its life.
